Tips for cutlery in the dishwasher: Leave the cutlery dirty or damp for as short a time as possible to prevent stains. The knives are made of a different quality of stainless material than the spoons and forks. Contact corrosion can occur due to contact with these different materials. Therefore, do not place cutlery against each other in the cutlery basket. For your own safety, put the knives with the cutting edge downwards, but the other cutlery the other way around. Open the dishwasher as soon as possible after washing so that the cutlery can dry properly and prevent stains. You can easily remove any (rust) stains on the cutlery with a soft sponge or copper polish.
