Batu lime and mint is mature and tinglingly fresh. The combination of fresh mint with the citrus flavor of the fresh lime provides extra refreshment. An ultimate thirst quencher that takes you to a tropical island! Batu is brewed in the most sustainable brewhouse in Europe and is double fermented. Double fermenting is not the fastest way to make kombucha, but it does make for great flavor. The basis of batu is sencha, a spicy green tea that tastes a bit like citrus fruit. That tea goes together with sugar, yeast and bacteria in an open tub where the first fermentation provides fresh acids and beautiful taste aromas. After thirty days, fresh tea and fruit are added, and everything is allowed to ferment for another week. The kombucha is then fully flavored and above all: sugar-free. The story goes that kombucha was originally brought to Europe by adventurers from Mongolia via the Silk Road. Batu believes that the world is there to be explored and has been inspired by these adventurers. Batu in Mongolian stands for the courage and strength needed to do new things. Batu does not need to be kept refrigerated.
