    Ginger is used throughout Asia in various dishes. Djahe is dried and ground ginger root and is easy to use. Ground ginger (or ginger powder) has a fresh, pungent taste and smell. It is a good alternative to fresh ginger. Because it is dried, it also has a much longer shelf life. Djahe is one of the four variants of conimex dried herbs. In addition to djahe, there is also ketumbar (ground coriander), Laos (ground galangal root) and jintan (ground cumin seed). These four types of dried herbs can be combined well. Together they are, for example, indispensable for the well-known dish rendang daging.
