Gort & Gort Bordogne pinot noir

0.75 l

Father Ilja and son Klaas Gort grow grapes in Bordeaux. They do this neatly according to French rules. This means that they adhere to the law for wines with Bordeaux on the label. But the Gortjes also love wines from Burgundy, made from Pinot Noir. They wanted to work on that, but pinot noir is a forbidden grape in Bordeaux. They more or less secretly planted Pinot Noir a few years ago. These plants now supply grapes from which they make a juicy Pinot Noir from Bordeaux. The French authorities obviously cannot call that wine Bordeaux and that is why they called it Bordogne. It has all the characteristics of Pinot Noir with its fruity taste of strawberry, raspberry and blackberry jam, its fresh acidity and its soft mouthfeel. It is very suitable for chilled drinking. Delicious on its own and with light dishes with vegetables and fish. Also recommended with goat cheese.
