Description
Grand'Italia pasta Tradizionali is produced in southern Italy. The pasta is made from semolina or wheat semolina, which comes from hard wheat (grano duro). To guarantee the right quality, the wheat is 100% milled in our own mill. The use of durum wheat results in a firm pasta that gives a perfect 'al dente' bite.
The name macaroni is sometimes used in Italy as a kind of collective name for all dried hollow pasta types. In the Netherlands, macaroni is also called elbow pasta and everyone probably knows it that way from (grand)mother's kitchen. Due to the hollow shape, this pasta can absorb the sauce extra well, making this elbow pasta very suitable for various macaroni dishes.
