Grand'Italia pasta Tradizionali is produced in southern Italy. The pasta is made from semolina or wheat semolina, which comes from hard wheat (grano duro). To guarantee the right quality, the wheat is 100% milled in our own mill. The use of durum wheat results in a firm pasta that gives a perfect 'al dente' bite. Penne is the Italian word for quill, which was used in ancient writing. This Grand'Italia penne is ribbed and therefore ideal for a somewhat coarser sauce.
