The name Icauna is Latin for the Yonne river. Chablis is located in the French department of Yonne, whose inhabitants are called 'Icaunais'. This white Burgundy is made from 100% chardonnay. Officially the wine is called Bourgogne Chardonnay Émotions Minérales. The latter is a reference to the minerality of this wine. You will also taste the specific salty taste of the famous chalk soil. You will also discover the scent of wet stones, peach and lemon. A wonderfully refreshing wine to serve with oysters, shrimps or other crustaceans and shellfish. Also delicious with soft cheeses, salads or fried fish.
