Jan Stok worked in the kitchen on the ships of the Holland-America Line in the 1960s. As 'chef garde manger' he was responsible for the cold kitchen. His French colleagues soon translated his name to 'JEANBÂTON'. Under that name he became known for his delicious sauces. Today Jean Bâton makes special mayonnaises, sauces and dressings. As a tribute to the craftsmanship of Jan Stok. Jean Bâton is famous for his truffle mayonnaise and now also has a truffle sauce to serve warm, based on the classic French cuisine. This truffle sauce is ready to use and only needs to be heated up. Delicious with red meat, gourmet and barbecue, but also with vegetables.
