Koopmans Puff Pastry Butter

Per 450 g

    • Remove the baking tray from the oven and preheat the oven.
    • Use baking paper or grease the baking tray with butter or margarine.
    • Separate the frozen puff pastry slices, remove the foil and let the slices thaw for 5 to 10 minutes.

    Immediately place the unused puff pastry slices in a sealed plastic bag back into the freezer.

    Fan oven: 210°C

    Preparation: approximately 15 minutes, baking time: 15-20 minutes

    Supplies for fruit pastries
    For 10 fruit pastries
    • 1 pack of Koopmans Puff Pastry Butter
    • 1 beaten egg
    • 250 ml whipped cream
    • 30 g sugar
    • 2 tablespoons of fruit jam
    • 250 g mixed fruit

    Preparation method
    1. Cut off 1 cm from all edges of the puff pastry.
    2. Brush the remaining piece of dough with water and place the cut edges on top to form a container. Press the edge lightly.
    3. Trim the corners and brush the double edge with beaten egg.
    4. Prick the bottoms with a fork and place the puff pastry cases on the baking tray.
    5. Bake the puff pastry cases for 15-20 minutes until done and golden brown in the center of the oven.
    6. Beat the whipped cream with the sugar and fruit jam until stiff and divide it among the cooled puff pastry cases.
    7. Cut the fruit into small slices and divide them among the puff pastry containers.

    Supplies needed for apple turnovers
    For 10 apple turnovers
    • 1 pack of Koopmans Puff Pastry Butter
    • 3 large apples (e.g. Elstar)
    • 50 g raisins
    • 20 g sugar
    • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

    Preparation method
    1. Peel the apples, remove the cores and cut the apples into cubes. Mix the apple cubes with raisins, sugar and cinnamon.
    2. Divide the apple mixture over the puff pastry slices and moisten the edges with water.
    3. Fold the sheet of puff pastry into a triangle and press the edges well.
    4. Moisten the top of the flap with water and press the flap into sugar.
    5. Place the apple turnovers on the baking tray and place it in the middle of the oven. Bake them for about 15 minutes until golden brown.

    Usage

    Do not refreeze after thawing. Shelf life: Fridge: 1 day Freezer (-12C): 1 month Best before end (at -18C): see bottom of packaging.
