It is made from the tempranillo grape, which is called cencibel in the region. You taste that fruit especially well because the wine has not been aged in wooden barrels. If it had been, the Spaniards would indicate on the label that it is a roble, crianza, reserva, or gran reserva. These are terms for barrel aging, from short to long.
