Colombia's history is intertwined with coffee. The soil is rich in volcanic ash and production is mainly in the hands of small farmers who manage their own plantations in the highlands of Colombia. Just above and just below the equator. Colombia has 2 harvest periods per year: the main harvest with high yield and the second, smaller harvest, locally called 'Mitaca'. All Arabica berries used are washed after picking, which contributes to the freshness and taste of this coffee. After fermenting for 1 or 2 days, the beans are separated from the pulp. These 100% Colombia coffee beans are of top quality.
