Boekenhoutskloof is definitely one of the best and most famous wineries in South Africa. One of their lines is this Porcupine Ridge with friendly, accessible wines, to enjoy just like that. The grapes for this Merlot come from Helderberg and other vineyards in Stellenbosch. Immediately after the harvest, the grapes underwent a so-called cool soaking, which makes it easier to release colors and flavors during fermentation. The result is a dark red wine with a full, fragrant taste. Delicious for so and at the table.
