Sandeman Sherry Fino

0.75 l

In 1790, George Sandeman, a young Scotsman from Perth, founded 'The House of Sandeman'. His father lent him £300 to set up a wine business specializing in Port and Sherry. Now 6 Sandeman generations further, Sandeman has grown into one of the leading Port and Sherry brands in the world. The basis for success: centuries of experience and tradition, coupled with a nose for quality. Sandeman, always a pioneer, was the first firm to brand a barrel with a branding iron (1805), naming the wine to guarantee quality. The 'Don', Sandeman's icon was designed in 1928 by George Massiot Brown and is one of the first logos ever created. The 'Don' with his wide-brimmed Spanish hat and cape of a Portuguese student has since appeared in many advertising campaigns and is still the (unrecognizable) face of Sandeman."
