My name is Nico Runderkamp 'bakkertje' from Volendam. I belong to the fourth generation of our butcher family. Our butcher shop has now existed for 80 years and has always been passed down from father to son. My great-grandfather was named after a baker on the dike, hence the nickname: bakkertje! We are proud of our handcrafted sausages and cold cuts that we make according to traditional recipes. Over the years, we have received several awards with these recipes, prizes we are very proud of! We have also won the golden cutter knife, an award for the 'best master sausage maker in the Netherlands'. Butcher shop bakkertje is known far and wide for its artisanal, flavourful products.
