This product is made according to a traditional recipe from the Snijders brothers. The cervelaat is made extra lean by using even less fat and salt. Lightly smoked over beechwood. Air-dried, slow ripening for 4-6 weeks. Mildly salted and gentle in flavour. 1 star Better Life quality mark, pork raised by Limburg farmers. Delicious in thin slices on bread or thick slices with a gherkin on the side. Paul Francken has worked in the sausage making trade for over 17 years. His father took over the business in 1994 from the Snijders brothers from Geleen. Nowadays he is at the helm. His family has practised the butcher’s craft for three generations. What he is proud of are the many artisanal 'Snijders' sausage varieties. For more than 75 years they have been known for the one and only true Limburg cervelaat.
