I am Bob de Graaf, an Amsterdammer and sausage maker through and through. I have more than seventy years of experience and have worked with four generations of the Hergo family business. I am a perfectionist and have an eye and feeling for the right cooking and the right seasoning. I am a specialist in beef, veal and lamb meat products.
In the seventeenth century, oxen were imported on a large scale from Germany and Denmark. The spices, such as pepper, cloves and nutmeg, came from the Dutch East Indies. My ox sausage builds on this tradition and lets you taste authentic Amsterdam craftsmanship. The beef sausage is smoked over chips of real beech wood, which provides a delicious taste.
