This red wine offers delicious red fruit, with clearly toasted and spicy notes. Harmonious and intense in flavour. François-Albert Macquin took over 22 hectares of the Maisonneuve estate in 1885. After expanding by another 24 hectares, he named it Château Macquin. In 1978, François-Albert was the first pioneer to replant the phylloxera-affected vineyards around St. Emilion with new vines.
