Matías Ríos, head winemaker at Cono Sur, calls Chile a dreamland for wine makers. Matías: Chile has a range of soil types and climates, allowing us to find the ideal growing place for every grape variety. The Bicicleta wines represent the style typical of Chile. For sauvignon blanc, these are the sparkling fresh acids combined with intense aromas of ripe citrus fruits and pineapple. For this, we use grapes from high-altitude vineyards on the foothills of the Andes and from vineyards close to the Pacific Ocean. The result is a wonderfully smooth, juicy wine with a distinct, recognizable character. That of Chile. Across Chile, the vast vineyards are cycled through. Hence the name Bicicleta.
