1860 C.R. de Ruijter opens a confectionery shop in Baarn and starts producing and selling Muisjes®.

1883 Appointment as purveyor to the royal court by King William III.

A few older ladies soon gave De Ruijter the idea to grind the Muisjes®, which they found too hard for their teeth, in a mortar.

1985 P. De Ruijter & Zn. receives the title 'Royal'.

2003 The birth of Princess Catharina-Amalia was also celebrated with Orange Muisjes®.

2013 De Ruijter starts offering personalized packs of Muisjes® via www.deruijter.nl.

2020 The De Ruijter brand celebrates 160 years.
