Frescobaldi Chianti Castiglioni

This is a full-bodied, intense red wine with notes of ripe fruits such as blueberries, cherries, and a hint of fresh pepper. A fine acidity in combination with the alcohol. A good balance between alcohol and acidity, and an impressive finish. The wine is made from 90% Sangiovese, complemented by 10% Merlot. The Marchesi de' Frescobaldi estate has a rich history.
