Mainly bottom-fermented beers are brewed, such as pilsner, brown, and export. The brewery breaks through in 1953. Luc Van Honsebrouck succeeds Paul and Ernest, and thanks to his ideas, the brewery becomes well-known. Soon, various types of beers follow one another. After Bacchus and Gueuze St.-Louis come Kriek Lambic, Peach, Raspberry, Blackcurrant, Brigand, and Castle beer. The latter is one of the stronger beers produced by Van Honsebrouck brewery.
