How to prepare:
Shopping list: 2 onions, 1 leek, 1 red bell pepper, 1 small can of tomato paste (70 g), 150 g corn (canned), 300 g lean ground beef, and 1 jar of brown beans (400 g).
Preparation: drain the beans and corn. Finely chop the onions. Slice the leek into rings and cut the bell pepper into cubes.
Method: Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a frying pan and crumble the ground beef until browned. Stir-fry the vegetables for a few minutes. Add 350 ml of water and the contents of this sachet. Bring everything to a boil and let it simmer gently for 2-3 minutes. Then add the tomato paste, brown beans, and corn. Stir well and let it warm through briefly (it no longer needs to boil). Serve the chili con carne with rice or freshly baked rolls. For a meat-free day, you can replace the ground beef with a drained can of lentils (310 g). Add them at the same time as the beans.
