Les Fiefs is the second wine of Château Lagrange, a 3rd Grand Cru Classé from Saint-Julien. This is the highest quality level in the Médoc. For this, the grapes are selected with incredible strictness. At Lagrange, it is even the case that at least half of the harvest is deemed not good enough for the grand cru wine. Those grapes, still of very good quality, are used for the second wine, which is this Les Fiefs de Lagrange. No wonder it is also delightful. It is full-bodied with the juicy taste of ripe cherry, the sharpness of blackcurrant, and the spiciness from ageing in wood. Pour it into a large glass and enjoy this typical Saint-Julien with its long, soft aftertaste.
