Wines are made in various styles. The base is tempranillo from the vineyards surrounding the cellar. Some are kept in stainless steel tanks, others undergo the so-called wood ageing. Crianza means the wine has rested for a year in a wooden barrel and then matured for another year in the bottle in a cool cellar. Hence its soft, smooth taste that still comes across as young and fruity, complemented by aromas of vanilla, cinnamon, and coconut. It is very suitable to drink on its own and pairs well with pasta or risotto with mushrooms, spicy oven dishes, and mild curries, with or without meat. Also nice as a cheese wine.
