The exceptional Masi Campofiorin Ripasso is made in a way you won’t find anywhere else in the world. Local grape varieties are used for this wine, such as corvina (70%), rondinella and molinara. They grow in the hills around Verona. The distinctive flavour comes from an extra fermentation with a quarter portion of dried grapes that have been left to dry in the sun for about six weeks. This gives the wine extra power. And you can taste it! The name Masi comes from “Vaio dei Masi”, the small valley in Valpolicella in the Venetian region. The Boscaini family bought this little valley at the end of the 18th century. It is where the Masi winery still produces its delicious wines to this day, still run by father and daughter Boscaini.
