Sandeman Dry Sherry
Sandeman Sherry Fino is made from Palomino grapes grown in Sandeman's own vineyards. It matures in a Solera vat for a minimum of five years. The sherry is light, fresh, and has a crisp dry finish. "In 1790, George Sandeman, a young Scotsman from Perth, founded 'The House of Sandeman.' His father lent him 300 pounds sterling to start a wine business specializing in Port and Sherry. Now, six generations of Sandeman later, Sandeman has grown into one of the most leading Port and Sherry brands in the world. The foundation of its success: centuries of experience and tradition, combined with a keen sense for quality. Sandeman, always a pioneer, was the first company to brand a cask with a hot iron (1805), thus giving the wine a name to guarantee quality. The 'Don,' Sandeman’s icon, was designed in 1928 by George Massiot Brown and is one of the first trademarks ever created. The 'Don,' with his wide-brimmed Spanish hat and cloak of a Portuguese student, has since appeared in many advertising campaigns and remains the (unmistakable) face of Sandeman."
