Deep dark beer with a full, ivory-colored foam head. Soft and full-bodied. Characteristic fruity aroma, stands out with its long, bittersweet aftertaste. Flavor profile: full-bodied, fruity, and bittersweet. Delicious with: blue cheese and rich chocolate desserts. Best served at: 8-12 degrees Celsius. Awarded a bronze medal at the Brussels Beer Challenge 2022. Beer from the region where time seems to stand still: St. Bernardus beer has been brewed since 1946 in the heart of the West Flanders hop region. The brewery is located in the village of Watou, where time apparently ticks more slowly than in the rest of the world. Brewery St. Bernardus brews its blonde and dark abbey beers of high fermentation with hops from their own hop field. In total, eight fine specialty beers with the dark St. Bernardus Abt 12 as the flagship.
