Tokara Cabernet Sauvignon

This wine has an incredible amount of flavour! You can really taste lots of blackcurrant and plum. The red wine has a bit of a bite thanks to fairly present, yet soft tannins. The flavour is quite robust but still approachable, with lightly smoky notes from the oak ageing. This wine is made from 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc (which adds more complexity and depth), and a small amount of Petit Verdot grapes. A real treat! Tokara is among the very best in South Africa. They use the latest techniques to monitor the ripeness of their grapes, for example with infrared photography. They also work carefully to preserve as much diversity of plants and animals on the estate as possible, so that the natural habitat remains intact. Leopards have even returned and now roam through the vineyards at night.
