Undurraga Carmenère

The people at Undurraga, a winery that has been around since 1885 by the way, are of course specialists at what they do, but nature lends a strong helping hand. Wedged between the Andes Mountains and the Pacific Ocean, Chile may well have the best conditions in the world for growing wine grapes. Sunny during the day and cool at night: this ensures even ripening of the grapes. And although it doesn’t rain much, the snow in the Andes provides enough meltwater for irrigation. That purity is what you taste in the wines.
