Zuccardi Chardonnay

Winemaker Sebastián, third generation, is called a great talent. He succeeded his father and grandfather. If you look closely, Sebastián has been involved with wine his whole life. He knows the region inside out, including the best spots to plant grapes. This chardonnay comes from the high-altitude Tupungato, from vineyards situated at 1250 meters. There the grapes get plenty of sun, but because it cools down at night, the grapes do not ripen too quickly, but rather slowly and evenly. They develop fragrant aromas and keep their fresh acids. This wine is a delightful example of that. It has the lushness of ripe mango and the uplifting freshness of citrus fruit. On the palate it feels round and creamy. A lovely glass for dessert, perfect with salmon and other oily fish, chicken and turkey, Indian curry, or simply with a piece of matured farmhouse cheese.
