Barros Tawny Port

0.75 l

    Extra information

    Wine

Due to the years of barrel maturing, it has lost its color, but certainly not its taste of caramel, figs, dried plums, vanilla and spices.

The port producer Barros is not well known in the Netherlands. This is because the brand has been part of the Sogevinus umbrella brand since 2006. A number of other ports from the same stable are much better known, such as Kopke, Burmester and Cálem. Yet Barros has a rich tradition that goes back to 1913, when the company was founded by Manuel de Almeida. Later his brother-in-law Manuel de Barros joined the company. He gave his name to the brand as we still know it today. Barros' style is pure, classic and made famous by the production of Tawny port. In addition to the various ports, the company also produces table wines from the Douro Valley.
