Lancers Rosé

0.75 l

When you talk about a rose in a pitcher, almost everyone knows what you're talking about: lancers. This wine became popular after an American discovered it in 1944 in his search for a rosé that would appeal to Americans. He chose the name Lancers, which was a reference to the painting Las Lanzas by the Spanish painter Velazquez, which depicts the surrender of Breda during the 8-year war. Lancers rose is made from Portuguese grape varieties such as Touriga Nacional and Aragonez. It tastes slightly sweet and tingles a little on the tongue. Nice and cold, it is a fresh fruity, cheerful rosé to drink with, but also try it with spicy dishes from Mexican cuisine. That combination is very surprising and delicious.
