At Lipton, we believe that small changes can make a big difference for the planet. After the switch of Lipton Ice Tea to fully recycled plastic in 2020, Lipton tea bags will be fully biodegradable in 2021. This means the tea bags can be thrown away with the organic waste. During the year, Lipton will replace the boxes with plastic packaging by cardboard boxes with a protective coating. These cardboard packages can be recycled with the waste paper. This will save Lipton alone in the Netherlands 88 tons of plastic per year.
