Real cheese comes from the Beemster. It’s cheese made with 100% fresh North Holland meadow milk. We make it in the Beemster polder, because that’s where our cheese dairy is located. Throughout the entire chain, we work with care for people, animals and the environment—from blade of grass to cheese, from farmer to cheesemaker. We stay true to traditions, such as manually stirring the curd and letting the cheese mature naturally. On top of that, our Beemster cheese is made completely climate-neutral—meaning good care for our world. That’s when the grass is at its best, the cow is healthy, the milk is top quality, the farmer is happy, and the cheese tastes best!
