      Beemster Jong Belegen 30+ is a naturally matured cheese, 40% less fat and still has the fresh taste of Jong Belegen. Beemster cheese is made in the Beemster polder. Here, in the middle of the cows, is our cheese factory. We make our Beemster cheese the way it has been made for over 100 years. We do this in our sustainable cheese factory, where we work climate-neutrally. By using modern techniques, our cheese makers continue to make the cheeses in a consciously traditional way. For example, they still stir the curds by hand. It takes a bit more time. It does provide a distinct, unique taste and that wonderful 'smooth' mouthfeel. Together with our 425 farmers in the cooperative, we manage the chain from blade of grass to cheese. Together we pay attention to the health of the cow and the quality of nature and the environment. Thanks to our animal welfare program, our cows give the very best quality milk. Our cows are in the pasture as often as possible, often more than 180 days a year, 10 hours a day, which is much more than the pasture milk standard of 120 days, 6 hours a day. The rest...
