Valpolicella is located on Lake Garda, near Bardolino and Soave, in the Veneto region. Delicious wines are made here from local grape varieties. This juicy Valpolicella consists of corvina, rondinella and molinara. Almost everyone in the region grows grapes, even if only on a small piece of land. They sell the harvest to 'their' Cantine di Soave, a cooperative with 2,200 members that has existed since 1898. The grapes come from dozens of vineyards located on different slopes and partly in the plain. Together they reflect the taste of wine from Valpolicella. It is fruity, smooth, thirst-quenching and very stimulating. That is why it is so suitable for an hours-long, pleasant dinner with friends or family. Italians themselves like to drink this red wine slightly chilled, at about 14 degrees Celsius. Fifteen minutes before use in the refrigerator or cool bucket and it is perfect. Delicious with antipasti, pasta bolognese, pizza and vegetable dishes.
