Now grapes grow on gently rolling hills where everything revolves around sustainability. Sheep graze between the vines to fertilise the soil naturally. Birds sit among the grapes – and are allowed to feast on them too. You’ll also see sunshades and wind turbines. And everything at Yealands Estate in New Zealand is recycled: from grape canes and lees to wastewater, packaging materials and glass.
