The first mention dates back to 1924, although the drink was known earlier. The Second World War caused a temporary stop in production, but resumed after the war. Then the first automated production began, which significantly increased the reach of the drink. In the 1950s the drink received its current name. The recipe was sold to the Loscher company in 1994. In 2019, the drink is exported to more than 50 countries.
