Club-Mate Original

Club-Mate is a caffeine and carbonated soft drink made from a mate extract. Club-Mate can be considered an iced tea or a less sweet energy drink. Flavor profile: fresh, tea, ginger, and licorice. Best served at a temperature of 4-6 degrees Celsius. Originally produced under the name Sekt-Brontë by the Geola Brewery in Dietenhofen, where it was distributed locally. The first mention dates back to 1924, although the drink was known earlier. World War II caused a temporary halt in production, but it resumed after the war. Then the first automated production began, which significantly increased the drink’s reach. In the 1950s, the drink received its current name. The recipe was sold to the Loscher company in 1994. As of 2019, the drink is exported to more than 50 countries.
