In 1860, CR de Ruijter opened his pastry shop in Baarn and started the production and sale of Muisjes®. Muisjes® are the first De Ruijter product. For more than 150 years, Muisjes® have represented the Dutch tradition of a toast with Muisjes® at birth. De Ruijter Roze Muisjes is delicious as a spread on bread, on rusk, in yoghurt, on a cupcake or of course just out of hand. 1883 - Appointment as purveyor to the court by King William III.
1938 - Presenting Oranje Muisjes® to the Royal House in honor of the birth of Princess Beatrix.
1985 - P. De Ruijter & Zn. receives the designation 'Royal'.
2003 - The birth of Princess Catharina-Amalia was also celebrated with Oranje Muisjes®.
2013 - De Ruijter starts with personalized packages of Muisjes® via www.deruijter.nl.
2020 - The De Ruijter brand has existed for 160 years.
