If you like a light red wine with fresh acidity, you are probably also a fan of Beaujolais. Whichever you choose, a 'regular' or one of the crus, in Beaujolais you will always taste red summer fruit. Beaujolais is made from gamay and nowhere else than in this part of France does gamay give such cheerful, refreshing red wines. That's because of the terroir. For a Beaujolais Villages, the grapes must come from specific municipalities (isvillages) located in the hilly part of the region. This one from Georges Duboeuf is a nice drinker, a cozy drink and lunch wine. Chilled, you drink it more like a white wine or rosé, than like a red wine.
