Slightly floury red-skinned potatoes
Versatile red potatoes for almost all uses. These slightly floury potatoes stay fairly firm when cooked, but have a fluffy texture. Sourced from the Netherlands almost all year round; only in June do the potatoes come from Spain. The varieties used are: Mozart & Romance (new harvest (mid-June–July). Flavour: versatile and simply tasty. Storage: store in a cool, dark place; they can also be kept in the fridge. Preparation: ideal for boiling, frying, and of course for mash dishes. Pan: peel the potatoes, cut into equal pieces and rinse with cold water. Cook the potatoes in a small amount of water for about 20 minutes until done. Drain, let them steam dry briefly on low heat, shake and serve. Microwave (700 Watt): peel 500 grams of potatoes, cut into equal pieces and rinse with cold water. Place the potatoes in a single layer in a microwave-safe dish and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of water. Cook the potatoes for 7 minutes until done. Frying pan: boil the potatoes for about 15 minutes until almost done, then cut into slices or wedges. Heat butter and/or (olive) oil in a frying pan. Fry the slices or wedges over high heat for about 10 minutes until golden brown. Turn regularly. Oven (225ºC): peel the potatoes and cut into slices. Put the slices in an oven dish and drizzle with (olive) oil. Bake in a preheated oven for 30 minutes until golden brown. Optionally sprinkle with some grated cheese.
