Since 1968, the tastiest fresh chilled salads have come from Johma’s kitchens. When making its salads, Johma has always had one goal in mind: Johma simply has to be the very best! The story begins in 1968, when Johan Schreur started making salads himself in his garage together with his wife Gerrie in Glanerbrug, a village near Enschede in Twente. The name Johma is a combination of Johan and Martin. The first customers were butchers and small grocery stores in the east of the country. In the mid-1970s, more and more salads were sold, requiring a larger production site. They found this in Losser, also in Twente, a few kilometres away. They have been based there for more than 50 years now. In the years that followed, many different varieties were launched. Think of filled egg salad and chicken sambal salad.
