Since 1846, LU has been offering quality biscuits for the whole family. In 1952, baker Paul Parein invented the Bastogne biscuit. Bastogne comes from the French name for the Belgian city of Bastogne at the foot of the Ardennes. The relatively hard biscuit with a rock-like texture reminded him of the rugged hills there.
