Lurpak butter is free from palm oil, preservatives, colorings or other additives. Only 2 ingredients transformed into pure quality butter. And because it's unsalted, you can add as much or as little salt as you like. The process for our Lurpak butter starts with approximately 20 kg of Danish whole milk from which 1 kg of butter is made. The most valuable and tasty part of the milk, the cream, is 'matured' with great care, after which it is turned into butter. Lactic acid cultures are added to give a fresh and slightly aromatic taste to the creamy character that provides the characteristic Lurpak taste. That's it. Nothing more than a pinch of salt is added to our lightly salted butter varieties.
