It all began in 1993 when I and Ine van Strien opened our own butcher’s shop at a young age (22 and 21) in ’s Gravenmoer. Both Marco and Ine come from farming families, a true farmer’s son and daughter. Because of this background, they have known the origin of their meat for nearly 30 years. They know all the farmers where their meat comes from. The animals are given peace and have a good life on the farm. In June 2013, Marco won the prestigious sparerib trophy. A few years later, Marco and Ine won this same trophy again. In 2014, the meatballs in ’s Gravenmoer were awarded first place in the Netherlands for the first time. In 2018 and 2020, Van Strien’s butcher shop repeated this achievement. Always wanting to be the best—that is what matters to Marco and Ine.
