Our Sugar Beets
Our sugar beets are grown on Dutch soil. The sugar beet is actually the sugar factory. During the growing season, a combination of sunlight and water forms the sugar, which is stored in the beet plant. During the beet harvest in the autumn, the sugar beets are lifted. At the factories in Groningen and Dinteloord, the crystal sugar is extracted from the beet. The chain from beet to sugar is efficient and sustainable.

Our growers

The fields of our 9,000 growers lie close to our factories. For over 100 years, sugar beets have been cultivated on this land. All growers are certified (food safety) and take care of the environment, surroundings, and landscape.
A healthy soil is the foundation; you must take good care of it!
