In the picturesque South Holland village of Reeuwijk, the Vergeer family has lived since the 17th century. True cheese lovers. Vergeer’s maturation cellar, where the cheeses are left to rest on thirty-year-old Scandinavian spruce wood shelves, lies more than 8 metres underground.
The humidity and temperature there are always constant. Quality and flavour are paramount, and all ingredients can be traced back to the source. And you can taste it.
