In the picturesque South Holland village of Reeuwijk, the Vergeer family has lived since the 17th century. True cheese lovers. Vergeer’s aging cellar, where the cheeses are left to rest on thirty-year-old Scandinavian sprucewood boards, lies more than 8 metres underground. The humidity and temperature there are always constant. Quality and flavour are held in high regard, and all ingredients can be traced back to their source. And you can taste it.
