    Weihenstephan is the oldest brewery in the world. As early as 1040, the Benedictine monks of the monastery were given the right to brew beer. Since 1803, the brewery has been owned by the Free State of Bavaria. A lot has changed over the centuries, but the traditions are kept alive.
