Croquette

The croquette originally comes from France, but it has of course been perfected in the Netherlands. A favourite among foreign tourists visiting Amsterdam are the croquettes and bitterballen. The croquette is a fried snack where the crispy outer layer of breadcrumbs is filled with a ragout of beef. Usually beef is used, but you can also use other types of meat.

Croquette Roll

The most common way to eat a croquette is on a roll. A croquette roll. But not just any roll; often a small crusty roll is used, which provides the best combination. The sauce of choice is mustard, although some people use other sauces. If you want to make this croquette roll yourself, order the tasty small crusty rolls here. Then choose your favourite croquettes and afterwards your favourite sauce.
